Responsibilities

I was the store manager in charge of buying assistance, inventory stock and tracking, store organization, promotional graphics, apparel fixes and alterations and customer assistance, etc. I wore many hats on the job which made for an amazing experience. I loved the learning experience that I had! I got to start a store from the ground up!

Accomplishments

Some of my greatest accomplishments were that I made and sold my own designs in the store, I started my own alterations business through the Funky Zebras (now the Pink Petal) and I created the employee handbook setting standards for all employees to come. I got so much reward in sharing my creativity on the job and was given many facets to express it!

What advice would you give?

Advise that I would give to any students looking to intern locally, constantly be asking the question..."what can I do to help you?" Employers not only love this question but often times allow you to help them with tasks that they hadn't considered and now you have created a learning environment for yourself.
