Responsibilities

I was hired as a product development intern for Blue Marble's beverage and food line, Bearhat. This summer I focused on recipe development to showcase their products at the annual Institute of Food Technologists conference in Chicago, as well as further developing their line of sparkling shrub beverages.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment was hearing all of the positive feedback regarding the sauces I developed for IFT and seeing that my personal contribution made an impression on other companies that visited our booth.

What advice would you give?

Be open to anything! I had applied for a lot of internships before I received an offer from Blue Marble. While I was hesitant at the beginning, once I opened myself up to the opportunity I was able to gain a lot from the experience that will hopefully serve me well in the future.
