Responsibilities

Premium Services and Special Events Intern I assist the full-time Premium Services and Special Events staff in their duties. I also assist in supervising all premium space game day operations for football, men's and women's basketball, and wrestling. I serve as the main point of contact on game day for premium space guests and staff. Another responsibility of mine is to ensure a high level of customer service to premium space ticket holders and guests. Lastly, I assist with Cyclone Club office operations and other athletics special events.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishments have been strengthening my customer service skills and gaining knowledge about how to manage premium spaces while ensuring attendees have enjoyable experiences. Serving as the main point of contact on game days for premium space guests and staff has allowed me to build my confidence and I have become more passionate about ensuring a high level of customer service to premium space ticket holders and guests.

Learning experience

I have learned how to handle certain situations properly when things don't go as planned and to have a backup option. I also learned the importance of attention to detail in event management. Every small element contributes to the overall attendee experience.

What advice would you give?

My advice for students going into event management is to find what you are passionate about and work towards it. Make connections with people who are currently working in the field to gain insight. Networking is very beneficial for gaining new opportunities.
