Responsibilities

Prepare the stadium and field each game day, find contestants for on-field promotions as well as execute these promotions, perform different crowd interactions, staffing Saints Kid Zone, sponsorship fulfillment, responsible for anthem singer and first pitches.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from my internship with the St. Paul Saints is the amount of experience I have gained in the sports industry, knowing that this is the area I want to have a career in, in the future! Coming into this internship I wasn't positive what type of events I wanted to plan and start my career in after graduation but from this experience I learned that sporting events is where I hope to end up!

Learning experience

I learned a lot about the business side of Event Management such as marketing and operations. I also learned how important it is in this industry to always be ready for anything to happen and have a solution. When executing something like a baseball game you never know when something not planned is going to happen such as rain delays, rain outs, extra innings ect. and being prepared knowing this may be possible at anytime is helpful.

What advice would you give?

My advice for future students is to make the most out of your internship. Even if your internship is non-paid the experience that you will gain from your position is worth much more for success in your future career path.
