Responsibilities

The VP of Recruitment Education plans, coordinates, and communicates the chapter participation of Sorority Showcase Tour, Primary Recruitment, Continuous Open Bidding Fairs. I was responsible for providing assistance to chapters with the recruiting process through monthly meetings and workshops. My role coordinates all events that the Collegiate Panhellenic Council participates in - relating to Experience Iowa State Days, Daily Visits, Transfer Student Orientation, ClubFest, and Destination Iowa State. My most important job was simply to plan, conduct, and evaluate Primary Recruitment and all other recruitment events held throughout the year!

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment during my internship experience was finally completing my largest event - Primary Recruitment. In the middle of Iowa State's first virtual Panhellenic recruitment, there was a natural disaster leaving the city of Ames without power. We persevered and welcomed around 500 women to our council!

Learning experience

The biggest lesson that I learned throughout my internship was how to be flexible and continue to enjoy my job when it gets tough. I distinctly remember 2 moments where I wanted to push off our event but I am so happy we stuck it out and made it the best it could possibly be!

What advice would you give?

My advice for future students is to go after the positions you are truly passionate about. Loving your job and displaying a genuine passion for what you're doing every day will help you be the best you possibly can be!
