Responsibilities

Calling and answering phones with company faculties and local government officers; Helping promoting our exposition in October in China-Africa Economic and Trade Exposition; Helping translating uncomplicated files into English.

Accomplishments

On the China-Africa Economic and Trade Exposition, I was responsible for introducing our exposition in October to the managers from different countries in Africa. Five managers showed strong willingness to cooperate with us and join our upcoming exposition.

Learning experience

One of my job responsibility was contacting to provincial and local government faculties one by one to make sure the contact information is correct. The greatest lesson I've learned from this experience was I should not promote our exposition at first. I should ask which department is responsible for geographical identification products. Thus, the person who are answering the phone will believe this is not fraud phone.

What advice would you give?

I'm a double major student. To be honest, I like event internship more than the hospitality internship I took at Intercontinental Hotel. Hospitality is all about discipline and hardworking. One must love this industry very much so that they are willing to devote their life and time to this industry. While event industry requires more creativity than hospitality industry. People can hardly lose their jobs if they followed the rules. While when being in event industry, people can easily lose money if they cannot find clients. They can also earn a lot of money at once.
