Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from my experience with EXOS is that I found a career path in fitness that I truly enjoy. In my 4 years at Iowa State University I completed 6 different internships between strength and conditioning, personal training, and corporate wellness. This internship was the only internship I have completed where I didn't want to leave because I loved the experience that much. After so much searching I found a career path I enjoyed and that for me was the biggest thing I walked away with.

What advice would you give?

My best advice for students is to seek as much experience outside of the class room as possible. I started interning the summer going into my freshman year of college and did a new internship each summer after and one summer I did two internships at the same time. This gave me a huge advantage and helped me stand out from my peers. The more experience you can gain and accumulate the much easier your life will be. Not only will you become better at what you do, but you will be ahead of those who do not seek the same experience. Classes will be easier because you have more information and experience to draw from. When you finish college you will be in a much better position to get a job that you want because you have much more experience than the other's in your field at the same level.
