Responsibilities

I worked in the fashion closet, so most of my days were spent handling the inflow and outflow of garments from a variety of brands and PR companies. Communication via email was prevalent each day. I was also lucky enough to help out on some photoshoots and act as an assistant on site. I also ran various errands around the city and completed a few research projects.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment was earning the respect from my superiors for my hard work and realizing that they appreciated me when I was able to say all of my goodbyes before I left.

What advice would you give?

If you're going to be interning at Hearst Corporation for any of their magazines, be ready to work harder than you've ever had to work. And even if you don't feel like you're getting the respect you deserve at first, if you keep your head down and grind good things will come.
