Major Exploration Days provide prospective students and their families an in-depth look at a College of Human Sciences major and its related career opportunities. Participants will:
- Interact with current students
- Tour facilities
- Meet faculty and advisors

TBD – This event is a daily campus visit for high school seniors who are exploring the Apparel, Merchandising, and Design, Event Management, and Hospitality Management majors. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with current students and learn about their recent internship experiences.
(Apparel, Merchandising, and Design): Friday, April 10-11, 2021 – This year will different from past years and be an entirely virtual format. We expect Spring 2022 will allow us to return to our normal activities: attend the dress rehearsal for the annual Iowa State University Fashion Show, hear from our guest designer what the world of fashion is all about, talk to students who have interned in New York and studied in London, participate in workshops, and much more.<!–

October 2, 2020 – This event is an Experience Iowa State (EIS) day for high school seniors who are exploring the Family and Consumer Sciences Education Studies or Financial Counseling and Planning. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet current students or advisors, tour lab facilities, attend a mock class, and take part in EIS programming.
October 30, 2020 – An inside look for prospective students and their family members at careers and majors working with food and nutrition, diet and exercise, and food product development. Interact with current students and faculty members and participate in hands-on workshops.
