Applying for Scholarships

The College of Health and Human Sciences uses the same online application, OneApp, as the Iowa State University Office of Student Financial Aid to gather your information and consider you for appropriate scholarships.

Submitting a complete OneApp application ensures you will be considered for university, college, and department or school-level scholarships. The OneApp application takes about an hour to complete and can be saved and completed at a later time if needed.

Logging In to OneApp

Incoming First Year and Transfer Students

If you are an incoming first year or incoming transfer student to Iowa State University, the scholarship process begins with you applying for admission. Students must have been offered admission to attend Iowa State University before they are able to log in to OneApp and apply for scholarships. You do not have to accept your offer of admission before completing the OneApp.

If you have not set up your university Net-ID, your login credentials will be the same email address and password as your admissions MyAccount.

If you have set up your university Net-ID, your login credentials will be your ISU email address and password.

Current ISU Students

Current ISU students will use their ISU email address and password to log in to OneApp.

General Application

Completing the General Application is an opportunity to share with our scholarship reviewers information not included in your application for admission. Some of the primary questions used for evaluation will ask about your career goals, extra-curricular activities, honors and awards, leadership experience, and community involvement.

Submitting the General Application is required for you to advance to the College of Health and Human Sciences Application and be considered for scholarships offered by the college and by your major.

College of Health and Human Sciences Application

The College of Health and Human Sciences Application will ask a few additional questions not asked on the General Application that will help determine your eligibility for certain college scholarships. Depending on your major, there may be some additional questions for you to answer. The application will automatically guide you through any major-specific questions.

Office of Student Financial Aid

If you are a U.S. citizen, you will also be able to complete the brief Office of Student Financial Aid application. This is simply four multiple choice questions for several scholarships not covered by the General Application

Recommended Opportunities

Finally, based on your answers from the previous steps, OneApp will present you with additional scholarship applications you may apply to. You may find that you meet unique criteria for awards that have additional questions you must answer.
