How does Iowa State’s School of Education turn a strong science background into real teaching skills? 

Lauren gained a deep understanding of science through her degree in biology while gaining the teaching tools to share that knowledge with her future students. 

As she tackles complex topics like protein synthesis, she then learns how to explain them in a way that makes sense to middle schoolers.  

“Iowa State doesn’t just teach you what to teach,” she shares. “They show you how to teach—how to make those ‘aha!’ moments happen.”
