Responsibilities

My main responsibilities at my internship include grant/ sponsorship research and student administration for summer camps.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment at my internship would be making connections with the summer camp students, helping them with their projects and seeing them excited to work with me everyday was really special.

Learning experience

The biggest lesson I learned is that I am open and able to work with a different group of people than I previously expected. I began my HDFS career believing I would never work with children, let alone enjoy it, so this experience really showed me to be open to different experiences.

What advice would you give?

I would advise future students to enter each experience with an open mind, as they surprise you. I was not expecting to enjoy working with children and I really enjoyed it. Not only did I learn something about myself, but now I'm able to look into different fields of work.
