Responsibilities

I was given a project to redesign and create training modules for the quality assurance department. To do this I needed to learn how to do all QA technician tasks and then take what I learned and make a simple training that the facility could use in the future.

Accomplishments

I was able to work as a quality assurance technician for two weeks. In this time, I fulfilled all QA responsibilities like performing mandatory checks and verifications on the production floor. I really enjoyed being a part of the QA team and it also gave me an opportunity to see that the trainings that I was making were affective because that's how I learned each task.

Learning experience

I learned that communication is at the center of every job and having confidence in your work is extremely important. I'd say the most important thing that I learned is to put yourself out there. Going out onto the production floors and getting to know the people working the line is what made my experience great.

What advice would you give?

My advice is to be prepared, take a breath, and have confidence in everything you do. It is okay to ask questions and get feedback from your peers.
