Responsibilities

My internship responsibilities included greeting and leading patients though warmups/ cool downs, cleaning and organizing equipment, writing exercise program for post therapy patients, scribing sessions, assisting in therapy sessions as directed, and leading patients through regular exercises.

Accomplishments

Before my internship I was unclear on my defined career path, through my internship I was able to clarify my decision!

Learning experience

I was given so many great learning opportunities while at Rock Valley. Being open to learning new information, technology, and treatment avenues can make a huge difference in a goal completion/ successful recovery for client or patient.

What advice would you give?

Try to find opportunities to gain experience in different areas of Kinesiology! Exploring various careers and settings on a 'typical day' can help you secure your path or help you discover a new direction you enjoy and may want to pursue. In my experience this has helped me gain new perspectives which I feel will help me in my future career!
