Responsibilities

- Assist in the process of implementing Count The Kicks in new locations, including helping to identify potential partners, coordinate outreach efforts, and track progress. - Work alongside staff and external partners to help implement new strategies, provide feedback, and learn about the challenges and rewards of program execution. - Assist in creating and distributing educational materials and resources that support implementing the Count The Kicks program in new locations or formats.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment during the internship was creating an Oral Health Campaign toolkit that could be distributed among both current and prospective partners of Count the Kicks!

Learning experience

One of the greatest lessons I learned during my internship was the importance of adaptability in a professional setting, especially working in a hybrid and remote environment. I discovered how to manage my time effectively, stay organized, and communicate clearly to keep projects moving forward.

What advice would you give?

My advice to future kinesiology students is to stay open-minded and embrace opportunities outside of your immediate comfort zone. Whether it’s an internship, job, or a research project, saying yes to challenges will help you grow in unexpected ways.
