Responsibilities

I work in the alterations department. I attend bridal fittings, tend to dress pickups, and help alter and repair dresses daily.

Accomplishments

I would say my greatest accomplishment during my internship experience is altering a huge wedding gown with many layers, as this really helped me develop my sewing skills more.

Learning experience

The greatest lesson I have learned working here is that you must be very precise in your answers while working on someone's wedding gown for their big day. They are susceptible to answers so I learned that you must be realistic with your answers to their questions and give them straight answers.

What advice would you give?

My best advice is if you want to get better at something, such as sewing, the more you do it and practice, the better you will become.
