Responsibilities

My responsibilities at my F&B internship are to lead staff during events. Assist the Banquet manager with all aspects of events. Give 4-star service to all guests. Be proficient in reading BEOs.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment during my internship was being put in charge of a building during Aspen Ideas Festival, that had seminars, buffet stations, and receptions throughout the day.

Learning experience

I learned that it's important to be confident in yourself. There are reasons that you get new opportunites and get choosen for new positions. Be confident in your ability to do new things and trust yourself that you know what you're doing.

What advice would you give?

Keep your mind open to all oportunities. You never know what amazing opportunities that you'll miss if you have tunnel vision.
