Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment during my internship at the winery was witnessing the joy and happiness of couples on their wedding day. Being part of such a significant moment in their lives was incredibly fulfilling. I took pride in ensuring everything ran smoothly, from the setup to the final send-off, which allowed the couples to fully enjoy their special day without any worries. Seeing their smiles and sharing in their joy as they celebrated surrounded by family and friends made all the hard work worthwhile. It reinforced my passion for event management and the importance of creating memorable experiences for others.
Learning experience
My biggest lesson from my internship at the winery was the importance of problem-solving when issues arose during events. Whether it was handling last-minute changes in the setup, addressing guest concerns, or coordinating with vendors, I learned to stay calm and think critically. This experience taught me to assess situations quickly, explore potential solutions, and implement effective strategies to ensure everything ran smoothly. Developing these problem-solving skills not only helped maintain a positive atmosphere for the couples and their guests but also reinforced my confidence in managing challenges in a dynamic event environment.
What advice would you give?
I have completed internships in various areas, including bars, hotels, retail stores, and wineries. Each experience has provided me with unique insights and skills, enhancing my versatility in customer service and event management. I would recommend doing the same thing.
