-Leading exercise classes -Planning and hosting activities such as scavenger hunts, ice cream socials, and dance classes -Entering birthdays and activities in campus calendar system -Participating in activities and encouraging residents to be involved -Shadowing Meals on Wheels -Creating activities and event flyers -Creating presentations on health topics and posting on the bulletin board

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment was creating my own events and promoting them throughout campus. I learned how to plan, promote, and host my own health events. It was very rewarding to have residents attend the events and tell me how much they enjoyed the.

Learning experience

The greatest lesson I learned from this experience is the importance of creativity. I learned how to make things work for myself so I could be successful. When I started my internship, I had never planned a real event or hosted a group. My supervisor encouraged me to do something I would enjoy and could have fun with. From there I was able to plan multiple successful activities.

What advice would you give?

Pay attention in class because the information is relevant. Additionally find your internship before your last semester. Choose something you are interested in.
