My responsibilities include visual merchandising three times a week, styling customers for events or casual wear, working with my team to meet sales goals, and helping promote the store and stores' events.
I am currently planning a fashion show for the company. I feel this will be my biggest accomplishment during my internship experience.
I learned how important it is to communicate effectively. It can make or break a team. It is very important to ensure everyone is on the same page. I also learned how important inclusivity is. Primp only offers sizes S-L. I noticed a lot of times that many customers of all shapes and sizes need different sizes to go with different body types. Carrying only a few sizes not only shuns a certain demographic but can also make the whole shopping experience uncomfortable.
What advice would you give?
My advice is to be a sponge. Soak up as much knowledge as you can during your experiences. That way, you can apply them to your career and your life. Every step of the way, there is something new to be learned.
