Responsibilities

My primary responsibilities as a summer intern here at Manna Project International include leading or assisting with programs such as children's English classes (levels 1-4), adult conversation club at our Centro. I also work with several of our partner organizations. We have several, but three of my favorite are the shelter for teen moms where I volunteer weekly, the university- where we assist the language department, and Gotita's- a daycare we help at.

Accomplishments

I created a scholarship for children who cannot afford English classes and got our organization to agree to match up to $500. Together with my team, we were able to fund over $1200 worth of scholarships!

What advice would you give?

Trust your team- it makes all the difference in the world working with people that I trust and can count on.
