CyHire postings are from companies that specifically contact Iowa State University to recruit for their opportunities. Every student at Iowa State has a CyHire account. Request an appointment with us in CyHire to learn more about how to use this tool.

Use this Majors and Job Functions Spreadsheet to filter the job postings in CyHire by relevant job functions that are most aligned with your major or interests. GoinGlobal

GoinGlobal provides country-specific career and employment information, including world-wide internship and job postings, H1B employer listings, corporate profiles, and career resources for 30 countries. You may access GoinGlobal through your CyHire account. Click on the “Resources” link at the top of the CyHire homepage. GoinGlobal is beneficial for all students in all departments, including international students.

Beyond the Professoriate for PhD Students

Beyond the Professoriate is an online career training platform designed to help doctoral students and postdocs successfully transition into academic or nonacademic careers. Informed by nearly a decade of experience supporting PhDs, this platform offers:

  • Videos, material, and activities tailored to faculty members
  • Videos, material, and activities tailored to professional careers
  • A video library featuring interviews with PhDs from different academic disciplines
  • Live webinars

To access this platform, please navigate to https://login.iastate.edu, click ‘Add Apps’, search for ‘Beyond the Professoriate’, and add it to your Okta Dashboard. Once you click on it, you’ll need to sign in by selecting Iowa State University from the drop-down menu.

Beyond Grad School for Master’s Students

Beyond Grad School is an online career training platform designed to help master’s students make the most out of their investment and build their careers. This platform guides students through each stage of their job search including by offering:

  • Job search strategies
  • ‘Deep Dives’ into finding a career, LinkedIn, networking, findings and applying to jobs, interviewing and negotiating
  • Video library featuring interviews with Master’s graduates
  • Online events and live trainings
