Human Sciences: From Body Composition Scanners to Event Planners
The College of Health and Human Sciences is for those whose passion is compassion. Our majors have something for everyone, if you enjoy the challenges and rewards of improving lives.
Our programs focus on the science and technology of living and learning — from the way people learn and grow, to the choices we make about food and exercise.
We have academic advisors in each department that will get you on the right track to finding a major and program that best meets your personal and career goals.
We encourage students to customize their program of study to suit their interests! ISU offers hundreds of options for minors, double majors, double degrees, and certificate programs. Your advisor will help you navigate these options, identify people with whom to discuss these options, and choose a path that is best for you! Advisors are always available to help you navigate this process, but ultimately this is your degree—we encourage you to take an active role in your education. We expect you to research your options beforehand and make informed decisions regarding class requirements, grade requirements, and impact to degree completion timeline when adding things like majors, minors, or certificate programs.
