International Internships Approval Process
COVID-19: Across the globe, the COVID-19 situation remains fluid. Students interested in an international internship should contact the CHS International Programs Office to learn about additional steps required to complete an application.
Follow these steps to get your international internship approved.
Step 1: Register at ISUAbroad
Complete an ISUAbroad application, which will facilitate your enrollment in Iowa State’s international insurance policy.
International credit-bearing internship
International non-credit-bearing internship
Step 2: Contact Your Academic Advisor
Request that your academic advisor send an e-mail to us granting approval for your international internship.
Step 3: Report It
Report your international internship to CHS Career Services.
Internship Scholarship
Scholarships are available for CHS undergraduate students who enroll in internships or student teaching appointments where salary or wages are not paid. Visit the unpaid internship scholarship webpage for eligibility and application details.
